Painting and teaching are my two passions. I believe that they are equally important and that one feeds into the other. The greatest influence on my painting style and process came from Sergei Bongart, the internationally known Russian Impressionist artist, and his colleagues, Ron Lukas, Sonny Apinchapong, and Delbert Gish. hi Clotide, Thank you for your comment. This was a scene from our desert many years ago when an abundance of rain was followed by the blooming verbena. Also an early spring snow had fell on Mount San Jacinto. Unfortunately, this area is now covered with development. Diane
